TNAS (Transport Network Administration System) is a network information system for the design, build, administration and provisioning of telecommunication networks. TNAS supports IP, PDH, SDH, ATM, DWDM, DSL and Mobile Networks and is applicable to core and access transport networks. In addition, it can be applied to both fixed carrier and mobile networks. TNAS supports network documentation for all network entities such as Location, Nodes, Cables, Equipment, Physical Transmission Systems, Trails, Connections, Requests and Circuits.

TNAS enables network capacity to be allocated to meet customer demands and keep track of what capacity has been previously allocated. It also provides a Work Order system that tracks the current state of the network build and keeps the database in-tune with what is happening in reality on the network.
TNAS acts as the central application from which all network build is administered. Electronic interfaces are provided to link the TNAS database to the Network Management layer. For example, path set up instructions can be forwarded to the Management Layer and data integrity can be maintained by applying the appropriate feedback mechanisms.
